OT: Bulk installation of devices

Hi All

Apologies for the OT message but perhaps someone in this group has
experience with bulk installation of Android devices? I have 180
handsets that need ODK Collect (as well as some other applications)
installed on them. It's a lot of work to do, one-by-one. Is there a
better way?

Thanks
Adi

some of our large scale users are using titanium backup
(https://market.android.com/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup)
to image one phone and put it on all other phones.

other apps that might be useful for a large deployment are (advanced
app locker, https://market.android.com/details?id=org.baole.applocker2)
and smart app protector
(https://market.android.com/details?id=com.sp.protector.free). both of
these lock down the phone so users can't change settings. make you
think thru the incentives before using these apps. the more freedom
you give users, the more likely they use, like and take care of the
phone.

Thanks for the suggestions. I agree with your evaluation of app lockers. I
hadn't thought of an image backup but it makes the most sense.
