Possible to add an unlinked consent form to collection

1. What is the issue? Please be detailed. We are required to collect all consent forms at the end of data collection, but the consent forms can't be linked to the data collected, as the consent forms contain the participants full name. I originally thought to just add a photo capture, in which the data collector would take a photo of the signed consent form and upload it with the rest of the data, but that idea was rejected as the participant row of the data would include all their answers and their name. Is there any way that odk could collect a photo and save it without connecting it to the participant uuid?

Perhaps, you could use

  • a 2nd form for the consent photo. (Linked by an anonymous code to reference the form or even unlinked)
  • or make a photo without the name part. (You might use a code system for reference to the original.)
