Problem sending finalized forms to the ODK aggregate server: "Generic Error"

Hi all,

I am using ODK for the last couple of months without any troubles. In the
first phase of our survey we can upload the finalized forms to the server
following these steps: Finalized forms are dispatched to the server by
clicking on the selected form of interest in the "Send Finalized Forms"
menu of the ODK Collect application on the tablet. The server settings
(URL) of the tablet should be https://surepsurvey.appspot.com

Unfortunately, in the second phase we are having troubles to do the same.
The problem only arises when we try to upload finalized forms of all
surveys to the server. "Error: Not Found (404) at
https://surepsurvey.appspot.com/submission?deviceID=mac..." is the message
displayed after several attempts.

First, check that the phone is not in Airport mode. It sometimes gives this
error.

There is a known issue in this area that we have not been able to track
down -- as a work-around:

(1) first go to Download Forms, go through the process of accessing the
list of available forms (authenticating to do so),
(2) then try sending your completed submissions.

This establishes the authenticated secure channel during the download, and
will re-use that during the upload.

Let me know if that does not work-around (resolve) this issue.

When i submit the finalized form to my app-id.appspot.com i am getting the same error what can i do to fix it

Make sure the blank form is on the server. Also make sure the phone
has a connection to your server by going to your server's address
using your phone's web browser.

I worked on what you said. Adding a blank form to app-id.appspot.com then
tried to submit the finalized form, Then it worked very fine.
