Hi I have create a simple form with a geopoint upload to ODK Collect and
collect the data.
The question in excel is very simple
type name
geopoint my_point
When i reach the geopoint question i push the button and returns me
coordinates.
After i send the record to aggregate (v1.4.3) i can see the record in four
fields
geopoint Latitudegeopoint Longitudegeopoint Altitudegeopoint Accuracy
but when i'm trying to visualize to the map i receive no points...
Where are you trying to visualize the data?
You may need to identify the columns as geopoint columns in whatever tool
you are using.

When i use map as a visualization type then it finds automatically the only
geopoint that i have in my results but nothing is drawn in google map...
Thanks

This is probably because you have a record with no other fields?
It probably expects to find at least one text label (for the map-pin
title), and if it can't find any text label, it probably fails.

there is no empty line in excel but i found a difference compared with
demo forms in https://opendatakit.appspot.com
GEO Tagger v2.
All the number in GEO Tagger v2 is with dot -122.30498975
21.29999924
6.708204
but in my aggregate all the geo numbers are with comma
37,4667496 20,8435042
,0
28,416
I beleive that is happening because i change my android language settings
to Greek.
Is there any way for Aggregate to understand comma instead dot in case of
maps coordinates ??
Thanks again..

i don't think that is problem with database because, in database everything
seems well ...
When i view the records in Aggregate and trying to visualize them is saw
everything (every decimal number) with comma (,) instead of dot (.) which i
beleive that create the problem...
It is a fact that PostgreSQL could manage better geo data but this is a
total different approach and not a geolocation application...
Any other ideas ??

Ah. This sounds like a localization problem. Configure your Tomcat server
to use a locale of, e.g., English (en_GB or en_US). This can be set
independent of the locale of the computer hosting the Tomcat software (you
will need to stop and restart Tomcat for the change to take effect).
There is likely some use of the 'current locale' when generating the KML
used by the mapping software (instead of forcing it to use en_GB / UTC 0).
If that doesn't work, then it may be an issue with the locale in which the
browser operates (which would surprise me).
Living in the US, and because Google AppEngine uses a en_US locale, we have
done minimal testing of the software in other locales to identify these
sorts of problems.

There is likely some use of the 'current locale' when generating the KML
used by the mapping software (instead of forcing it to use en_GB / UTC 0).
If that doesn't work, then it may be an issue with the locale in which the
browser operates (which would surprise me).
Living in the US, and because Google AppEngine uses a en_US locale, we
have done minimal testing of the software in other locales to identify
these sorts of problems.
i don't think that is problem with database because, in database
everything seems well ...
