Problem with indexed-repeat() function

Hi All,

I am using the indexed-repeat() function. Its working on SurveyCTO but when
the same code is converted to an xml form and uploaded on a local server it
uploads successfully but gives an error while filling in the form. Any
ideas of what could be wrong?

Thanks.

There are numerous questions here:

  • are you trying to use Enketo or ODK Collect?
  • what ODK Collect version are you using?
  • what server are you uploading to? ODK Aggregate or something else?

And, as always, providing a form that has been stripped down to just the
questions that are needed to demonstrate the problem will greatly increase
the likelihood that anyone will attempt a response.

Hi Mitch,

Thanks for you response. Below are responses to the questions you asked

  • I am using ODK Collect.
  • The version is the most recent one.
  • The server I am uploading to is ODK Aggregate

Hi!
Can you post the error you say? And, with the example you provide, how we
can generate the error?
Thanks

Hi all,

I try to understand index-repeat () and your example is interesting but as
I have the error (joined image).
You solved this error (since 2015 I hope  )

"Error. There has a problem trying to replace ${consent} with XPath to the
survey element named 'consent'. There is no survey element with this name."

Dear David,
As the error message States, there's no element in the survey named
"consent". There's a possibility of a typo. Let me know if anything is
unclear.

Thanks in advance!
Stephen

Hi!
Since, its an old topic. But, this comes to my eyes and I just check the xls file. I found that there are some missing variables which are used in relevant and choice_filter. Maybe another issue comes because the xml file was downloaded from surveyCTO platform. SurveyCTO automatically create some variables, which don't work in ODK aggregate.

Please give a look on the updated file. Sample1.xlsx (80.4 KB) Sample1.xml (183.1 KB)
