Problem with repeat and calculate in Application Designer v.2

Hi! I create a survey using excel and I'm trying to use begin repeat and calculate in type column but when I try to convert my excel file to json file by XLXSForm Converter in Application Designer v.2, it display an "Unrecognized prompt type. Prompt: 'begin repeat' " same goes with the calculate. I follow the XLSForm design in XLSForm.org. Is there anything I miss? Thank you very much

The documentation for how to create an xlsx file that is compatible with
the XLSX Converter in the ODK 2.0 Application Designer can be found at
https://opendatakit.org/use/2_0_tools/active-distribution/odk-application-designer-2-0-rev200/odk-xlsxconverter-2-0-rev200/.
The output from the XLSX Converter is used to create a form that can be
used with ODK Survey.

The directions at XLSForm.org are for creating a form that can be used with
ODK Collect.

i.e., There are two different sets of incompatible tools:

ODK 1.x tools: (XML-based; document-based)
XLSForm ( xlsform.org )
ODK Collect
ODK Validate
ODK Briefcase
ODK Aggregate
ODK Form Uploader

ODK 2.0 tools: (JSON-based; database-table-based)
App Designer (e.g, XLSX Converter)
ODK Survey
ODK Tables
ODK Services
ODK Scan
ODK Suitcase
ODK Aggregate with ODK Tables extensions

··· ============== Choose the set that works for your needs; that usually means ODK 1.x.

The ODK 2.0 tools are not yet supported for general use.

Thank you very much clarice larson, Now I have gone through the
documentation and I didn't found the repeat prompt type or how to create a
loop with questions. So I cannot use a repeat or making a loop in XLSX
Convertor? Is there any other way around?

Thank you Mitch Sundt, Now I know I have misunderstood the whole tools
version. However I already setup an ODK Aggregate server and trying to use
ODK Survey to collect the data. But do I have to install additional ODK
Tables extensions that you mentions?

Hi Warat,

The way that "Repeat groups" are used has changed in ODK 2.0 tools, but the
same functionality is still available. You define the repeated section as a
sub-form, and then link to that from your main form.
Here are quotes from the documentation:

··· ------
  • Improved treatment of repeat-groups.* In the 2.0 tools, we have
eliminated the concept of a repeat-group. In its place, we provide prompts
that enable you to open and edit other surveys with links back to the
originating survey (if desired). These prompts can describe a sub-form
(nested) relationship among the surveys (e.g., household and
household-member) or they can represent arbitrary relational linkages
    across your data (e.g., tea-houses and tea-types).

See this link for details on how to do this:
https://opendatakit.org/use/2_0_tools/active-distribution/odk-application-designer-2-0-rev200/odk-xlsxconverter-2-0-rev200/#otherFeatures

Hi Warat,

I found a bit more info under the following section:
https://opendatakit.org/use/2_0_tools/active-distribution/odk-application-designer-2-0-rev200/odk-xlsxconverter-2-0-rev200/#usingQueries

Scroll down to the paragraph beginning with "linked_table is the other use
for the queries worksheet"
