Publishing Problem to Spreadsheet and Fusion tables

Hello , as for Mitch recommendation I will try to explain it in a better
way:

Using Aggregate I tried to delete the published data in the Form management
tab, then when deleting the different published data both spreadsheets and
fusion tables a problem occurred and I keep on getting this screen prompt (
see attached) , I am currently implementing a field survey and I am afraid
of not been able of publishing.

I tried changing the google API credentials but it didnt solve the problem

In the aggregate server there is only one form named KAP survey, the field
team is gathering data and sending submissions right now , so
I don't contemplate delete the form as there is risk of loosing all the
data gathered up to now. As I was facing some publishing problems (
repeated records & incomplete documents lacking responses in the google
fusion and spreadsheed published documents ) I decided to delete both the
published documents in google drive and the published data under the form
management tab in aggregate with the idea of starting again publishing new
documents and wait longer in order to see if the published documents
in Google drive are ok

The sequence of actions I was doing prior to this happen is

1.In aggregate clicked on Form management tab
2.clicked on Published data tab
3.clicked on x for delete a google spreadsheed published doc
(when I did this it didnt worked I mean that when I clicked teh document
was there , I clicked the remaining docs)
4.I went to drive and deleted the same docs
5.When back into aggregate I got this error message I sent in the previous
email
I am able to export the records to .csv but not fusion tables nor google
spreadsheet publishing works

Its important for me been able to publish in google spreadsheet format
because my cuestionary has lots of repeat groups and i need to easily pull
out that responses from the corresponding tabs created in google
spreadsheet format & fusion table format, in .csv format each group of
repiting answers is in a "link" like
https://odkacf.appspot.com/view/formMultipleValue?formId=KAP_survey[%40version%3Dnull+and+%40uiVersion%3Dnull]%2Fkap_acf_ph_form_final[%40key%3Duuid%3A1ae3764a-56c6-4d5b-943c-cf85f7932769]%2Fwater%3Arepeat_water_source_clean_8
and is a nightmare to pull the answers one by one

Datastore entities log.xls (16.5 KB)

··· 2013/4/25 Mitch Sundt

It should be working now.

Code fix for this is pushed and will be in the next ODK Aggregate release
(we were deleting the publisher without first gaining a task lock that
would prevent the publisher from running, so the delete was happening at
the same time as the publish, resulting in a race condition)

Mitch

Hi Mitch thanks for the details, its great to try this avoid happening ,
I am logging into aggregate and it keeps refreshing every 3 seconds and I
am unable of looking at the recorded data and manage aggregate , any hint?

I tried deleting Browser cache , I am attaching the Datastores entities log
for your information

I was able of pushing the data via Briefcase and it worked , but now I am
stacked because this problem of browser refreshing aggregate every 3
seconds.

Thanks !! (such long email)

Can you Skype chat with me (mitch.sundt) ?

I need you to log onto your appspot instance.

Are you publishing to fusion tables or google spreadsheets?

What form are you publishing?

Can you add me (mitchellsundt@gmail.com) as a Site Admin on your site?

If there is a failure during publishing, multiple copies of the row that is
failing to completely publish can appear in the google spreadsheet or
google fusion table.

If data is appearing, the API key is correct, so changing that will not fix
the issue.

Hello again , It was a problem because I didnt restarted the browser after
the last changes , now I can log in into aggregate without problems , I
just give you Site Admin rights , please take a look to this mess whenever
you are able to .

Thanks

Hi Mitch , sorry I was away for a few days , I am trying to access
aggregate but not possible , I got a

The website encountered an error while retrieving *
http://odkacf.appspot.com/Aggregate.html*. It may be down for maintenance
or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was
encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.
So I cant give you access as Site admin . I can send you by email , my
credentials and see if you can do something , up to now I have increased
the billing limit on the google appengine as the limit of write/read
operations was reached.
Is that ok with you ??

Thanks

Are you publishing to fusion tables or google spreadsheets?

What form are you publishing?

Can you add me (mitchellsundt@gmail.com) as a Site Admin on your site?

If there is a failure during publishing, multiple copies of the row that
is failing to completely publish can appear in the google spreadsheet or
google fusion table.

If data is appearing, the API key is correct, so changing that will not
fix the issue.

Hello again Mitch , I had installed last aggregate version 1.3.1 and the
refreshing problem is solved , but when publishing to google docs the file
shows the same record in all the rows , so exporting is not working
properly , , should I reset the API key in aggregate ?

Thanks for your help !

Also, please install the most recent ODK Aggregate -- there is now a
1.3.1 available for download here:

Hello , as for Mitch recommendation I will try to explain it in a
better way:

Using Aggregate I tried to delete the published data in the Form
management tab, then when deleting the different published data both
spreadsheets and fusion tables a problem occurred and I keep on getting
this screen prompt ( see attached) , I am currently implementing a field
survey and I am afraid of not been able of publishing.

I tried changing the google API credentials but it didnt solve the
problem

In the aggregate server there is only one form named KAP survey, the
field team is gathering data and sending submissions right now , so
I don't contemplate delete the form as there is risk of loosing all the
data gathered up to now.

(when I did this it didnt worked I mean that when I clicked teh
document was there , I clicked the remaining docs)
4.I went to drive and deleted the same docs
5.When back into aggregate I got this error message I sent in the
previous email
I am able to export the records to .csv but not fusion tables nor
google spreadsheet publishing works

Its important for me been able to publish in google spreadsheet
format because my cuestionary has lots of repeat groups and i need to
easily pull out that responses from the corresponding tabs created in
google spreadsheet format & fusion table format, in .csv format each group
of repiting answers is in a "link" like https://odkacf.appspot.com/**
view/formMultipleValue?formId=KAP_survey%5B%40version%
3Dnull+and+%40uiVersion%3Dnull%5D%2Fkap_acf_ph_form_
final%5B%40key%3Duuid%3A1ae3764a-56c6-4d5b-943c-
cf85f7932769%5D%2Fwater%**3Arepeat_water_source_clean_8https://odkacf.appspot.com/view/formMultipleValue?formId=KAP_survey[%40version%3Dnull+and+%40uiVersion%3Dnull]%2Fkap_acf_ph_form_final[%40key%3Duuid%3A1ae3764a-56c6-4d5b-943c-cf85f7932769]%2Fwater%3Arepeat_water_source_clean_8
and is a nightmare to pull the answers one by one

It should be working now.

Code fix for this is pushed and will be in the next ODK Aggregate
release (we were deleting the publisher without first gaining a task lock
that would prevent the publisher from running, so the delete was happening
at the same time as the publish, resulting in a race condition)

Mitch

Hi Mitch thanks for the details, its great to try this avoid
happening , I am logging into aggregate and it keeps refreshing every 3
seconds and I am unable of looking at the recorded data and manage
aggregate , any hint?

I tried deleting Browser cache , I am attaching the Datastores
entities log for your information

I was able of pushing the data via Briefcase and it worked , but now
I am stacked because this problem of browser refreshing aggregate every 3
seconds.

Thanks !! (such long email)
