QR Code Import Option when Adding Project

1. What is the issue? Please be detailed.
It appears that importing a QR code to add a project has been removed in v2024.3.1. Is this correct? If so, why????

2. What steps can we take to reproduce this issue?
Attempt to "Add a project".
The only options are to use your device's camera to scan a QR code OR to enter the project details manually.

3. What have you tried to fix the issue?
There's no fix that I'm aware of.

4. Upload any forms or screenshots you can share publicly below.

I can't see any mention of this in the Collect changelog, but upon downloading and installing I think you are correct!

Tested on 2024.2.4 and it's there, but it's missing in 2024.3.0.

It must have been removed somewhere in the row of beta releases made prior to 2024.3.0!
(I assume by accident)

This is absolutely unintentional and we should have a fix out by Monday. We will also review how it got past our testing processes.

For now, you can work around the missing functionality by creating a fake project and then reconfiguring it with a QR code image:

  • Select "Manually enter project details"
  • For URL, enter something like https://foo.foo -- it just needs to start with https:// and have two parts separated by a period
  • Add the project
  • Tap on the project icon in the upper right corner
  • Tap Settings
  • Tap Project management
  • Tap Reconfigure with QR code
  • Tap the three dots in the upper right corner and then Import QR code
