(1) Project: The Strategic Impact Evaluation Fund at the World Bank is a multi-donor trust fund launched in March 2012 with support from the British government’s Department for International Development. The objective of the trust fund is: “to strengthen the design, implementation and use of results-focused monitoring and evaluation in order to improve the effectiveness of development policies in programs affecting human development outcomes.”
Along with a global consortium of organizations, SIEF is developing the Impact Data and Evidence Aggregation Library (IDEAL) to (i) publish and document RCT (Randomized Control Trial) data based on a set of schema and ii) consistently document effect sizes of different RCT-tested policies so that they can be used in evidence aggregation exercises.
SIEF is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented SurveyCTO Survey Programmer to join the IDEAL library project.
(2) Job description: survey design /maintenance + data analysis
The consultant’s main task will be programming multi-stage and complex SurveyCTO forms to register impact evaluation data extracted by coders from published RCTs and to check the accuracy and reliability. The consultant will also desk-test the forms to ensure they work correctly, edit the forms as instructed by the research team, and generate preliminary analyses of the data. The candidate should be a highly motivated person with experience in randomized controlled trials, data analyses, and survey programming using SurveyCTO and Open Data Kit.

The consultant will be hired as short-term consultant (STC), for 15 full-time-equivalent days of
work, contracted by the World Bank. We are looking to hire for this position as soon as possible and may extend the contract upon favorable performance!
