Hi,
Since yesterday, I am facing "This site can’t be reached amsdata.crabdance.com took too long to respond." It is trying to connect but failed to make a connection. I am unable to understand the issue.
What could be the possible solution for it? This would be a great help.
Our team is unable to synchronize the data from the field. Also we are unable to access the portal.
Hi @gcpconsole,
Sorry to hear your team is stuck in the field.
https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/amsdata.crabdance.com?proto=https shows the site is down (both for http and https protocols).
Can you get in touch with that site's admin?
Thank for your quick response. Regarding the "site's admin", because, we are using the ODK collect through digitalocean. So, do we need to connect with them?
The person who set up the "amsdata" ODK Central instance on DigitalOcean would have access to both the platform (DigitalOcean, e.g. to see whether the firewall blocks access) and the ODK Central server (e.g. to restart if stopped, to read logs, to see whether it's out of disk space).
If they fail to resolve the issue, any insights, logs, error messages could be helpful to post here.
The person who was looking it is not available currently. And, I am not aware about this kind of programming. I know the development of CAPI only. Can you suggest me something which I can do from my end in the simplest way.
To find out why your server is offline and bring it back online, you need:
- access to the DigitalOcean account hosting the ODK Central instance
- from inside this account, ODK Central server logs
- find out what the issue is and fix it
- restart the ODK Central server
If the person who has access to the server will be unreachable for long, I'd look into backing up the data off your data collection devices to minimise risk of losing that precious field data.
Good luck!
