Sequential form loading

Hi all,

Am wondering if its possible to load several forms sequentially on mobile where once one form ends the next form begins. e.g

FormA
FormB
Form C

FormA loads up and data is captured and as it ends ----> FormB begins then ----> FormC

I'd love to help, but your post does not contain enough detail for us to have a features discussion. In general, the best way to get features built is to fill out the questions in the pre-filled template that you get when you create a features post. So, with that in mind, can you answer these questions?

  1. Do you expect to be able pass data from Form A to Form B to Form C?
  2. What are some example use cases for this feature?
  3. What can you contribute to making this feature a reality?

Well Form A,B,C are all independent forms but Form A and Form B precedes Form C in-terms of data capture, that is why we thought of having it loaded sequentially by the system without having to manually load all 3 instances.

I think that this is the same feature as Linking different forms. I propose that we move this thread back to the support category so that we can have one thread representing the feature.

@Richie_CrSeven to confirm, you do NOT need to share data between the three forms, you just want them one after the other so that enumerators only need to tap one form to get started, is that right? Why can't all of the questions be in the same form? Is it because in some other contexts the forms may be used independently from each other?

@LN yes you are absolutely right with that, but for privacy reasons that's why we decided to segregate the forms

Can you say more about how that helps with privacy? Should the enumerator be able to go back and see forms A and B once they are filling out C? Like @yanokwa mentioned, the more details you can provide, the more likely it is that a feature that is helpful to you can be added!

@LN Form A and Form B collects data that client has to consent to and willingly share personal info which we promise not to disclose, instead we have a unique identifiers which runs within all three forms. this way if any one happens to chance upon any of these forms, there's no way of linking responses in Form C directly on the spot to consent data provided in form A and form B. but in terms of data capture flow enumerators should be able to go back and see forms A and B once they are filling out C.
