Hello,
Apologies if this is a naive question, but in trying to load a new
form into ODK on a Galaxy tablet, I am getting a "Sorry, unable to
parse form" error before the form even loads. I'm not sure where to
look to find the root of this problem. Any suggestions or ideas would
be most welcomed.

what version of odk are you running? where did you get it from?
where did you get the form from? if you made it, can you post the
source at http://dpaste.com and send the link to the list?

The ODK Validate tool, available here
http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/downloads/detail?name=ODK%20Validate%20v1.3.jar
can find many errors that will cause this problem.
