Source Code

Hi Guys;
I am finding it difficult to get the source code run on my eclipse someone
help ....

Which code?

ODK Collect should pretty much work if you've already gotten the Android
Hello World sample project to run. After you import the project, and after
it has built itself once, there are likely errors about the R class missing
or the gen directory not found. Refresh the project, then Clean and build
all. This should clear that error.

ODK Aggregate is more difficult to build. There is a CONFIGURE.txt file in
the project root with instructions for setting it up.

The source code is available through ODK's mercurial repository on
Google code website.
http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/wiki/SourceTab?tm=4

Since the code continually changes it would be a lot of extra work to
keep the code in a zip. Additionally there are many branches so there
would need to be a lot of zip files. Therefore the ODK team does not
provide a zip file but instead prefers developers to obtain the code
they are interested in from our source tree.

Yes, that should work as I described. If you are new to Android
development, you should install the SDK
http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/index.html , install the
Eclipse plugin, and follow the "Build your first App" tutorial on that
site. This is a different but similar first app tutorial:
http://androidcodemonkey.blogspot.com/2010/01/hello-world-your-first-android.html

After you get all that running, ODK Collect should build and run when you
take the steps described below.
