Support media attachments to Entities

What high-level problem are you trying to solve?

It can sometimes be difficult to identify an object of interest (such as a tree or elements of a building) in the field using only a GPS coordinate or a text description. Currently, entity properties only allow for text strings. It would be useful to be able to add photos to help identify objects of interest more easily, particularly during monitoring activities.

Any ideas on how ODK could help you solve it?

I saw on the ODK roadmap that an existing idea is quiet similar, called "Collect: Support media attachments to Entities". However, the status is currently "later". I would be useful for different studies to put this idea into practice

Hi Pierre,

At the moment it is not possible in the way you want, as you understood in the roadmap.
A workaround should be to calculate an image url for the entity you selected and use the url widget to allow the user to confirm he choose the right entity :

We used it to check turtles identity.
