Unable to locate pin from the google map

Hi,
I'm using odk aggregate since some weeks, i've made tests with odk collect
and that's was really good. But i'm facing a real and annoying problem.
When i try to visualize the map by clicking the "map it" button, there are
no pins and the map shows the western coast of africa though i'm in DR
Congo.
And that map can not be dragged from any direction too
I've configured the API key from the google.developer group.
Note :

  • I've configured the ODK with mysql and tomcat
  • Not using SSL

Can somebody help me please??

Hopefully not a stupid question....

And you have submitted data for that form that has valid GPS coordinates?

It sounds like you don't have any data submitted under that form.

What version of ODK Aggregate are you using?

Hi Mitch,

Sure that i send valid GPS data from my mobile. I've tried using an
other GPS app to show me coordinates and both odk collect coordinate
and other GPS app coordinates are hardly the same. I've downloaded the
form from the server to my mobile successfully, putted the filled the
form with datas and sent them to the server. i can see datas i sent
from the ODK Aggregate, i can Bar or Pie them too but not to visualize
GeoPoint from the map.

I use the version v1.4.7 of ODK Aggregate configured under
tomcat-mysql and using no SSL

The map shows but not the pins and i don't think it get GPS
coordinates from the mysql database

Did you set up the Google API Credentials on the Site Admin / Preferences
sub-tab?

The Simple API Access Key, which had been recommended for using Maps, may
now be required:

To get and register the required Google API Credentials, see our
documentation https://opendatakit.org/use/aggregate/oauth2-service-account/

Our screen shots and documentation will lag w.r.t. the latest website
changes that Google has made. If you are confused and cannot find
equivalent functionality on their web pages, let me know and I will work to
update the instructions.

Also, let me know if this resolves the problem. I will add documentation to
the effect that this Simple API Access Key is now required.

Dear Mazengele,

I am not such an expert as Mitch, sosorry for interrupting. But are your
coordinates not embedded in a group question? As as I remember well, it
happened to me that the coordinates in my form could not be plotted on the
map because they were embedded. If not, I have no idea..

Regards,

Eddy

Yes, I did set up the API access Key, but it didn't resolve the problem.

Thank you Eddy but i've already solded the problem. That was a problem
of parsing the GPS coordinates which come from the database. So i
reset the Apache Tomcat locale using US locale and that worked as
expected. Just see my other posts in the group and you'll find the
settings i've mad
