Updated ODK Collect 1.4.7 rev 1053 now available for download

An updated ODK Collect 1.4.7 is now available for download. This update has
also been pushed to Google Play and should become available within 24 hrs.

This has fixes for 2 issues:
(1) Force Close when downloading form definitions under some circumstances.
(2) Force Close when opening an existing form after the upgrade.

Work-arounds are to delete the .formdef files in the /sdcard/odk/.cache
directory on your device or to delete the form definitions using the ODK
Collect user interface.

There continue to be issues with the Arabic language translations. If you
want to help fix these, please contact me.

NOTE:* this update does not have the functionality and features of the
1.4.7 rev 1052 test build.*

In order to distinguish the versions of the application reporting crashes
through Google Play, the version string (1.4.6) needs to be incremented.

What server are you trying to connect to?

I see a small number of errors that indicate people are receiving a
badly-constructed list of available forms and/or badly-constructed forms.

In particular, those forms and/or the available-forms list do not contain a
formId (it is null, causing a failure).

Please capture a logcat with your error. See:

We have had one report of a similar crash, but the user was unable to
provide a logcat to narrow down the issue.
