User name and password

we are collecting data using collect 1.4.6 and aggregate 1.4.7 and
eveything has been smooth.
Recently I changed the password for collect, initially when submitting
files the tablets would not ask for a password coz its was stored in, now
on every submission they ask for a password and I have to retype it in for
every submission. How I wish the tablets could stored the password.

Any help is much appreciated.

Ayoub,

Once the passwords are entered, they should be cached for some time.
That might be a bug you are seeing and Mitch would know more.

One workaround to try is a bulk configure. See more at the bottom of

Did you change the username and password on the General Settings page?

The password you enter during an upload/download attempt is transient and
discarded. You need to set a password on General Settings for it to persist
across attempts.
