I am having issues with getting my choice filter to work. I have about 27 questions where the respondent can select multiple options in regards to species. I want to use that to filter down the last question so only the selected species in the first 27 questions are available to choose from in last question. I have made it work using only one of the multi-select answers to filter, but if they select more than one category from the first set of questions the last question fails to populate.

You have quite the series of questions there! Any chance you have the narrative version of what your form is collecting (that is, the survey logic written out as it would be on a paper form or similar description). I would think there might be a more streamlined way to achieve the desired result - something that might be easier to analyze and to update if needed.
(Also, are you using ESRI Survey123? I noticed a column with header bind::esri:fieldLength. We can help you troubleshoot XLSForm as implemented by ODK. I am not sure if ESRI maintains complete feature parity on their fork.)
