What do ISPs need to do to support ODK?

I am eager to make sure that the hosting company I work for can properly
support ODK. Is there any information available that outlines what hosting
firms need to do to ensure that they have all the back-end components that
ODK needs to work properly? Are there components that need to be installed
on the servers?

By the way, my hosting firm is http://www.UhuruSoftware.com. We are a
multi-platform Platform as a Service startup (e.g. supporting Java, Ruby,
PHP, Node.js and .NET).

Thanks,
Michael

You need a java web container (currently ODK Aggregate uses AppEngine's or
Tomcat) and a database (currently ODK Aggregate uses MySQL, posgres, or
BigTable).

We could setup a meeting to discuss other possible platform options as we
could expand the list.

One web hosting company had a funky hacked Tomcat.

I created a war file:

http://code.google.com/p/opendatakit/downloads/detail?name=UsableServerDiagnosticApp.war

If it runs on your web hosting service, you should be able to run ODK
Aggregate on it provided you are also able to set up and use MySQL or
PostgreSQL under that service (the diagnostic app just ensures that the
container can run the UI layer correctly).
