Hey All,
I saw in earlier posts that the Huawei Ideos ($90) and Vodafone 858
($80) have proven reliable. Has anyone had luck with and recommend an even
cheaper phone?
Also, what is the earliest version of Android that Collect v. 1.3 will
work on.
Much Respect,
Bill
ODK Collect is intended to work on Android 2.1 and higher.
The most common oversight/failing is to not have an 'external sdcard'
installed on the device. The cheaper phones generally do not ship with
this, so that is extra $$s to buy and install.
If you are looking at very low-cost phones, this is a hidden extra cost to
be aware of. To my knowledge, all the 2.x platform phones must have a slot
for this sdcard; if any don't, they likely wouldn't work with ODK Collect.
