Within Groups Error: Various Actions sends user to before group entries

Hello ODK,

I am using a form with a repeating group question. The following
actions sends a user to outside the group questions ( the last
question before the first group entry.

[Collect 1.1.7 RC2 Android 1.6}

  1. Wake up from sleep
  2. Open the manual keypad
  3. Close the manual keypad
  4. attempt to return to the previous question by swiping left to right
  5. Any attempt to use the "Menu --> Go to prompt function to access
    subsequent observations

To remedy this, we have been putting phones on permanent awake,
leaving them opened or closed during surveys, and not returning to fix
errors. If one is sent back, the user has to advance many times to
reach the appropriate observation number.

Any hints?
