I'm pleased to announce that Shobhit Agarwal will be ODK's first ever
Google Summer of Code student! If you're not familiar with GSoC, it's
a great program that Google runs to pair students with open source
projects for a 3-month paid internship. Shobhit will be spending the
summer with us working on refreshing the ODK Collect user experience.
Many of you already know him from his significant contributions over
the past few months.
Shobhit is from Kanpur, India and is currently a 4th year
undergraduate student in Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College,
Ghaziabad, India. He loves coding for fun and has been developing for
Android for 3 years. He is interested in connecting with ODK users
local to him so please let us know if you are near Ghaziabad (New
Delhi, for example). It would be helpful for him to shadow data
collectors and get your input on the changes he’ll be making.
Shobhit has been iterating on improved user experience ideas for a
couple of months now and we will be following up soon with more ways
for you to provide feedback and get involved in this important effort.
Thanks and have a great weekend,
