I wish to combine multiple select option for a question in my questionnaire while providing for the respondents to provide number of animals they lost to each multiple option selected. I also want to restrict respondents to only have available to them animals they already reported they were keeping. Also an option to input other factorsHow can I go about this?

unfortunately we don't support such table views. The only way of gr grouping multiple answer on one screen is documented here https://docs.getodk.org/form-question-types/#grouping-multiple-widgets-on-the-same-screen
There is a feature request that might be interesting to you Form design: grid of text or numeric input so please take a look, share your thoughts and vote for it if that's what you need.
