Dear ODK Community,

Greetings! I am Joy Bindroo, and I am thrilled to connect with such a vibrant and knowledgeable community here. Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of utilizing ODK and XLSForms for various public health data collection initiatives across Bihar and Jharkhand in India.

The versatility and effectiveness of ODK have greatly enhanced our data collection processes, allowing us to gather crucial information efficiently and accurately in challenging environments. Moreover, the flexibility offered by XLSForms has empowered us to tailor our data collection instruments precisely to the unique needs of each project, ensuring that we capture relevant insights effectively.

As I embark on this journey within the ODK community, I am eager to both learn from and contribute to this dynamic ecosystem. I look forward to engaging in insightful discussions, sharing best practices, and collaborating with fellow members to further advance our collective understanding and utilization of ODK and related tools.

Thank you for creating this community, and I am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

Warm regards,
Joy Bindroo

Hi everyone!

My name is Andy, I'm a spatial data analyst with CSIRO in Australia (national research organisation). I mainly work in insect pest management and have collected data in a range of different systems and contexts all over the world. I started using ODK in 2014, and since then it has completely transformed the way my team does research. We use ODK for all of our office, lab and field data collection, and we train partners we work with as well.

I love this rich and vibrant community, and especially how engaging the core team are in getting information from users to help guide the project.

Keep up the good work!

¡Hola!

I am Mauricio from Mexico :mexico: and very happy to meet this community.

I currently work as a fullstack developer at nuup, an NGO focused on agricultural solutions for small farmers. We are big fans of ODK for a while, and have been using it in multiple projects for a while now.

We're running our own server using kobotoolbox and are currently exploring ways to integrate odk collect as much as possible with our react-native solutions.

I worked for years with community radios and happy to talk about that as well :radio:

Hi ODK community,

My name is Phil, typically based in Germany, currently working in Central Asia.

Originally I stumbled upon the ODK universe, while reading a research paper about the RHoMIS Survey, which is based on ODK and encourages others to use it. And then I found ONA and many others using ODK within their agricultural research
I hope that my own research will also help to spread the word about ODK.

When I´m not data collecting I am really into cycling

Best, Phil
