Paper Copy of Form (ie. Enketo) after collecting data with ODK

Dear ODK Community,

Question 2: Our government counterpart would like to have a paper copy of each file after registering a case with ODK. I could use Excel and formula/references to generate a paper copy, but I wonder if there is a program like Enketo, which allows to not collect data, but to display and print it? I think that would be much easier and convenient than working with Excel.

Thanks again for your help!

Dominik

Hi Dominik,

This use case is not well-supported, but it was brought before, and we'd
like to eventually create an API endpoint to do this if there is funding
and time. You can track it
here: https://github.com/kobotoolbox/enketo-express/issues/147.

If, however, you're using KoBoToolbox, Ona or Formhub, you could (ab)use
the edit functionality for submitted records to print record these by
record.

Cheers,
Martijn

Dear Martijn,

thank you very much for your quick feedback. I actually use Kobo Toolbox
(on humnaitarianresponse.info), but I do not have/cannot find an edit
function for submitted function?

Best wishes,

Dominik

Hi Dominik,

I cannot seem to find it either in KoBo. Maybe it hasn't been activated
yet. Sorry about that. I've asked them to confirm.

Hi Dominik,

It's possible to edit data instances in KoBo: Just open the data table,
double click on the instance to be edited, then click the Edit button.
We'll try to make it a bit more obvious in the interface!
