Some of you might have heard that the ODK team is developing a new Web Forms system to better meet your needs. The current system limited our ability to add new features, modernize the user experience, and fix long-standing bugs without disrupting existing users.
As part of building this new system, one of our goals is to provide a lightweight way that allows users to preview ODK Web Forms. This will give people a way to test their XLSForms with the new Web Forms and offer feedback as we continue to refine the new features.

How to use Web Forms Preview
Just drag and drop your XLSForm the Web Forms Preview or try one of the demo forms.
If you are using Central v2024.2 or later, ODK Web Forms are already built-in! Try your own forms by pressing and holding the W and F keys and you’ll see a preview button appear.
We don’t have every question type yet, but we’ve got a lot of the common ones, as well as repeats, logic, and constraints. We will be making improvements every day and we’ll post about major changes here on the forum, as well as on Twitter and LinkedIn.

As you’re playing around your forms, let us know what you think below! There’s also a feedback tab on the side of the Web Forms page. We’ve included the version number at the bottom of the Web Forms page near to the ODK logo, so you can let us know what version you were using.
